Prevention, Preparedness and Response to Natural and Man-made Disasters in the Eastern Partnership Countries

EU-funded Flagship Initiative increasing disaster risk management capacities in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

The Ministry of the Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia and other national civil protection and disaster risk management stakeholders convened at the 2nd National Advisory Group meeting. The meeting, organized within the EU-funded Programme for Prevention, Preparedness and Response to Natural and Man-made Disasters in the EaP Countries (PPRD East 2), is taking place on 17-19 November 2015 in Yerevan. The objective of the 3-days meeting is twofold – to report to the national stakeholders the accomplishments of the Programme in 2015, and to present and discuss the draft updated Country Profile. In addition, it is expected that the National Advisory Group will decide on national priorities which will be addressed in Armenia within the PPRD East 2 Programme during the next 3 years.
